After a disappointing betrayal by her fiancé, Amanda Pearson sets off to pursue her dreams and to honor God’s mandate to share her faith with those who don’t know Jesus, particularly the Nez Percé Indians.
Accompanied by her father and a guide, she begins her journey into the western wilderness to the Spalding mission.

But things don’t go the way Amanda had expected.
Their travels are beset with danger and tragedy and Amanda soon finds herself alone with her horses-an easy prey for beasts and Indians.
Left to fend for herself amidst, Amanda soon finds herself in trouble. Thanks to a local trapper, his friend and Indian wife, she soon finds herself being taken care of by people who either do not know Jesus, or do not want to hear of Him. And thus begins Amanda’s missionary vocation-creatively sharing her faith to new friends.
