Last week’s extremely troublesome shooting in Alexandria, Virginia, where police said James T. Hodgkinson, 66, of Belleville, Illinois, opened fire at the GOP baseball practice the morning of June 15th, resulted in five people being shot. Two Capital police were wounded along with Congressman Steve Scalise who is still critically injured. Police returned fire, later reporting that Hodkinson was fatally shot.
“This horrific event,” states Pamela Christian, author of the award-winning Faith to Live By series, “is evidence of many years of widespread pent-up anger raging in our society.” Christian continued, “James Hodgkinson is just one example of the hundreds of thousand people who are angry to the point of violent action. The increased civil unrest has been building for decades and now has reached the tipping point as seen in angry and militant protests, and lawless behaviors.”

Recognizing this trend in society and the increasing deception that’s being perpetrated on Americans, Christian was driven to help people find the solution — to find truth. “After reading an article by ABC News entitled American’s Surprisingly Flexible about Religion [Dan Harris, Dec. 10, 2009], I was outraged! I expected the article to read that Americans are accepting of people of different religious beliefs. Instead I learned influential men and women are exchanging the truth for lies, basing their life upon the lies, and encouraging others to do likewise. A society that is based on lies is doomed.”

As a conference speaker for over twenty years, Christian often asks her audiences, “Who in this room wants to live your life on the basis of a lie?” She reports no one ever raises their hand to that question, then stated “No one wants to be lied to, not even a habitual liar! It’s understandable that Americans would be livid learning of the extreme deception and corruption in leadership, and not just governmental leadership. But the solution is not violence, it is truth.”
In response to the article, Christian set out to write what she thought would be one book, but which has turned out to be three so far, under the series title Faith to Live By. The first book (2013; rev. 2015) is Examine Your Faith! Finding Truth in World of Lies. The second (2014; rev 2015) is Renew Your Hope! Remedy for Personal Breakthroughs. Both books from Protocol Ltd. publisher have won multiple awards.

Quoting from the newest title in the series Revive Your Life!
