The film, set to be released in theaters August 24th, stars Benjamin A. Onyango (God’s Not Dead), Emily Hahn (Toy Story 3), as well as Alan Powell and Caitlin Nicol-Thomas from The Song movie.
The synopsis for the film is as follows:
Beautifully Broken is the true story of three families, from different countries, each struggling to find hope and safety amid the devastation of war. Their lives become intertwined, realizing that helping others can change the world around them and the world within them.
The film takes place during the time of the Rwandan Genocide. One family barely escapes the terror and chaos as they flee to a Kenyan refugee camp. With much thought, the family decides to send the father ahead to America for a program there. Meanwhile, an American family is having their own struggles. A mother and father are at a loss when their girl rebels. Their daughter refuses to communicate with anyone but a young Rwandan girl…
