The 40th President of the United States was also one of the most beloved. Ronald Reagan was the 33rd Governor of California, a Hollywood actor, and a union leader before he stepped into the Oval House as the President of the greatest nation on earth.
President Reagan took office in 1981 and is well-known for his economic policies which would eventually be called “Reaganomics.” He waged a war on drugs and First Lady Nancy Reagan coined the phrase “Just Say No” in her anti-drug campaign.
President Reagan had a certain charm about him that allowed him to relate to nearly everyone. Reagan left office in 1989 after many successes. He eventually passed away at the age of 93 from complications due to pneumonia in 2004, at his home. He has been often heralded as the greatest President our nation has ever known.

Former President Reagan married actress Jane Wyman, well known for her role as Angela Channing in the popular 1980’s evening television drama Falcon Crest. The couple had three children and divorced after nine years of marriage, citing political differences as the reason they parted ways. Reagan would later meet and marry actress Nancy Davis who would become the First Lady Nancy Reagan. Together, they had two children and were well-known for their close and genuine relationship as husband and wife. The special couple remained happily together until the President’s passing. Nancy later passed away in early 2016.
