The summertime garden is my favorite place to be! Each morning I take my coffee outside to see what’s growing, what’s blooming, which plants are setting fruit. It’s a living, changing place always full of color and fun . . . not to mention tasty!

This year, thanks to my handy husband, everything is growing in raised beds, surrounded by fresh bark and hooked up to an automatic drip system! If you love gardening as I do (and what’s not to love!), come with me on my morning walk and enjoy!

A potting bench is handy! And flowers are essential . . .

Veggies are best picked fresh!

And mixing flowers and veggies . . . well, that’s a garden!

Part of the fun is watching the critters that visit! The garden is a busy place. Our squirrels can be destructive if they don’t get dinner on time, but other than that they’re fun! The birds aren’t quite as demanding!

If you have a bit of unused ground, plant a garden! It will give you hours of pleasure and each day there’s something new to look forward to!

A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust. Gertrude Jekyell

No other cedar in the garden of God could rival it.
No cypress had branches to equal it;
no plane tree had boughs to compare.
No tree in the garden of God
came close to it in beauty.

Ezekiel 31:8

    I live in an apartment and don’t have a garden of my own. But I thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden. I love to see God’s creation, his animals, and I love flowers! Thanks for allowing me to share God’s beauty in your garden! I feel refreshed :)
